Using PDFiva

PDFiva provides browser-based document utilities for lawful, ordinary document-processing purposes. By using the site, you agree to use the tools responsibly and in accordance with applicable law.

Your documents

You are responsible for the documents you select and process. Only process files that you own or are authorized to use. The Unlock PDF tool is intended for documents for which you have the necessary password or other authorization; it is not intended to bypass access controls on documents you are not authorized to access.

Output and verification

PDF processing can vary depending on document structure, fonts, encryption, size, and browser capabilities. PDFiva does not guarantee that every output will preserve every feature of every source document. Check important files after processing before sending, publishing, signing, or relying on them.

Availability

The website may be changed, updated, temporarily unavailable, or discontinued. Third-party browser libraries and content delivery services may also experience outages or compatibility changes.

Privacy

The handling of information and documents is described in the Privacy Policy. The current browser application is designed to process selected documents locally rather than uploading them to a PDFiva processing server.

Prohibited use

Do not use PDFiva to distribute malware, infringe rights, evade lawful access controls, interfere with the site, generate fraudulent documents, or otherwise violate applicable law. Do not attempt to manipulate advertising interactions or generate artificial ad clicks or impressions.

No warranty

PDFiva is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, PDFiva makes no guarantee that a particular document operation will succeed or that an output will meet a particular professional, legal, archival, or regulatory requirement.
