This Privacy Policy explains how PDFiva handles information when you visit and use the website. It is written for the current static, browser-based implementation and should be updated if the site's data practices change.

Files and document processing

The current PDFiva tools process selected PDF, JPG, and PNG files in the browser. The front-end application does not send your selected document to a PDFiva document-processing server. Your files therefore remain under the control of your browser during the normal processing workflow.

Browser processing does not make a device or document universally secure. Other software, browser extensions, shared-device access, malware, screenshots, or copies you make yourself can still expose a document. Do not use a shared computer for sensitive files unless you trust the environment.

Passwords

Password values entered into the current Protect PDF and Unlock PDF tools are used by the browser-side processing workflow. PDFiva does not intentionally transmit those password values to a PDFiva server through the current front-end application.

Analytics

The website currently uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage and tool interactions. Analytics may collect information such as page views, device/browser information, approximate geographic information, and interaction events according to Google's services and your browser settings. Review Google's own privacy documentation for details about its processing.

Advertising

PDFiva may use Google AdSense or another advertising provider in the future. If advertising is enabled, the applicable provider may use cookies or similar technologies subject to the provider's policies and applicable consent requirements.

Cookies and local browser storage

The PDF processing interface does not need an account or a PDFiva login cookie. Third-party services such as analytics or advertising may use their own technologies. Browser storage may also be used by your browser or third-party libraries as part of normal web operation.

Third-party services

PDFiva loads some software libraries from public content delivery networks to provide PDF processing functionality. Those libraries are code dependencies; the current application does not intentionally upload your selected documents to those CDNs.

Children

PDFiva is a general-purpose document utility and is not designed specifically for children. Do not provide unnecessary personal information through the site.

This policy may be updated when the site's technology, analytics, advertising, or legal requirements change. The date at the top indicates the latest revision published on this page.
